How to Increase Your Website Speed Like a Sky-Rocket

Since we’re becoming more reliant on the internet in our day to day lives, broadband providers are ramping up their services. Catering for the masses of media we now consume. So you’d assume that for a large majority of people speed isn’t an issue?
This may well be true to an extent, but there’s a big difference between streaming a large video or downloading the latest game.  There just one file to download and one request from client PC to server to download it, whereas modern websites consist of hundreds of separate files and functions that need to be requested from the web server.

So it’s not just a case of how fast a client PC can download a web page, since there’s a lot more going on.
Now one way you can solve this is by upgrading your web server, although that can mean significant cost increases.  Then again if a client’s hardware just isn’t cut out to deal with that level of content, then even a powerful web server won’t help.
There is however a lot you can do to improve your site speed – Even without too much of an impact on your pocket.
A 1 second delay in your page response time can result in:
  • 7% reduction in conversions
  • 16% decrease in  customer satisfaction

How to Start Optimising Your Websites Performance

The cheapest and easiest way, (which you could probably do in an afternoon to be honest), is to optimise the content you already have, making it quicker and easier for client computers to process.
The first step is to determine what exactly on your website needs optimising; even small changes added together can make a big impact so it’s worth finding out.
The best place to start is to use a tool that analyses your website speed and works out what’s slowing it down, then giving you advice on what to do about it.
Two of the best also: GTMetrix, which is by far the best and Google PageSpeed Insights, which are both free to use.
www.gtmetrix.com – A very handy, easy to use tool that gives practical advice on what is slowing your site down and how to fix it, also scoring aspects of your website from A-F so you can see what needs the most attention.
Different to some other tools GTMetrix even creates some of the optimised file versions for you, such as images and css scripts, saving you a lot of time and hassle.
http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights – A lot more stripped back than GTMetrix but also tests for mobile, which is highly important when you consider 3G speeds and inferior hardware.  You’re also learning exactly what Google expect from your site, which is never a bad thing.

Use a CDN (Content delivery network)

A content delivery network is a distribution of web servers spread across multiple locations to deliver content to users more effectively.  CDN’s can be easily integrated with your website (Especially if you use a CMS such as WordPress, Drupal Magento etc..)
They are generally used for static content such as images and Javascript. Amazon AWS for example offers a free plan, or $0.12 per GB transferred upwards.http://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront

Enable GZIP Compression

Gzip is widely accepted as one of the most effective compression methods for website content, on average reducing the size of web pages by up to 70%.  According to Yahoo around 90% of internet traffic flows through browsers that support Gzip, so it’s definitely worth taking advantage of, it’s even recommended by Google.
Here’s an easy guide by GTMetrix on how to enable GZIP Compression on your website:
http://gtmetrix.com/enable-gzip-compression.html

Make Use of Browser Caching

This is a method of telling a browser whether a resource on a website needs to be requested from the server or whether it can be taken locally from the browsers cache.  Once the resources have been downloaded once if they don’t need to be updated again then the site will load much faster.
If you have a CMS such as WordPress there are great plugins available to manage this for you. For example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache
Here’s a guide by GTMetrix on it too: http://gtmetrix.com/leverage-browser-caching.html

Reduce HTTP Requests

Like the example at the beginning of this article, it’s easy enough to download one big video with modern internet but many websites are made up of lots of different elements, the more you can do to reduce these elements the faster the page will load.  You can take measures such as:
  • Combining css/javascript scripts
  • Focussing on “what’s important” – Make sure the important stuff loads first, like the visual elements and put the fancy functions last (at the bottom of your page)
  • Use CSS instead of images – CSS is tiny in comparison to the dozens of images you could potentially fill your web page with.
Many of these techniques are easy enough to implement yourself in a short space of time, if you’re not very technical they are easy enough for a developer to implement and should not cost you a huge fortune.
Hopefully you will see some big improvements in your site speed from implementing these techniques, if you knew some of them already perhaps you have learnt something new.
Also make sure to create backups before making any changes so you can always revert back if it all goes pear shaped!

3 Mistakes You Should Do to Make Your Blog Suck

So you started a new blog?
And you had huge expectations?
And you even wanted to earn a couple of grand with it every month?
But your blog sucks?!
This a very usual cycle for new bloggers. All of them have huge expectations, no experience and often fail. As I often say, there is no “correct” way to blog. Everyone has their own personality, own way of writing, unique style of communicating and what may be working for one might not work out for an another.
So today I am going to share 5 major reasons why possibly your blog sucks. No, I am not going to share how you can improve it, but just point out why it may be not working out for you like most other new bloggers.
3 Mistakes You Should Do to Make Your Blog Suck

Mistake #1 – Your Goals

So what was the goal you wanted to achieve before you started out a blog. Of Course, “money” helps but if that was your primary goal, then you probably should stop blogging, smell some coffee and start thinking again. Money should never be your main objective. It should always be your secondary motive, especially if you are new to this blogging world. Your main objective should always be something bigger and deeper which eventually will lead you to your money.
Rather than focusing on money, you should focus on for whom and why you are blogging.

Mistake #2: Over-Focused on writing

Wait? Am I out of my mind? No! But you always though that more you write, more you grow. Maybe you were wrong the whole time.  Few years ago the scenario was about striking out the right balance between quantity and quality and you and your blog we’re good to go. But everything has changed. One of the major reasons your blog sucks is that it has no social presence. No referrals. Most newbie bloggers take up a lot of time writing quality content, which is good, but they frequently forget promoting their content.
I follow the 6/10 rule and it works out great for me and others following it. It means that if you have a maximum of 10 hours to spend on an article – then you must spend 6 hours writing the content and 4 hours promoting. You can start off by promoting it in blogging communities, social media sites and sharing it with other niche related blogs. It’s difficult and I know it, but you must make this a habit from beginning.

Mistake #3: Misunderstanding SEO

So you hate this? Well you aren’t alone! Most new bloggers get all too confused about. Yes, I know it’s so very complex with everyone having their own opinions about it and everyone giving different amount of importance to it. But maybe you don’t need to follow it so strictly. All I mean to say is that for mere beginners, on-page seo is more than enough. No it’s not enough to rank you on the first page of a google search query but when your blog is just a few days old, you don’t need to focus too much on it.
Another mistake to avoid is writing for search engines and not for your readers. It’s the worst thing you can do lose traffic. On the bigger picture, you should always give importance to the people. Three satisfied blog readers are always better than ten unsatisfied unique visitors.  Blogs which are below 6 months of age should never get too involved in search engine optimization. All you must focus on is writing detailed and amazing content, gathering as many subscribers as you can and promoting it.

Kick-Ass Strategy to Get your Guest Post Approved on a Top Blog

Do you want guest posting on a super blog like Pro Blogger, Blogging Tips or Boost Blog Traffic?
Do you think just a high quality post will make you eligible for guest posting on such super blogs. Yes you can but is it possible for a newbie or struggling blogger to write a post worthy of publishing on such top blogs.
Kick-Ass Strategy to Get your Guest Post Approved on a Top Blog
Don’t worry, either you are a newbie blogger or struggling blogger, I will share in this post a brilliant idea of guest posting on a super blog.
You can write a guest post of high quality after a lot of hard work. But guest posting on a top blog is damn difficult. If you are a relatively new blogger then it’s heck of the task.
So you need to apply your intelligence to achieve your goal. It’s really cool to publish your guest post on a blog at least twice in value as compare to your toddler blog. Again don’t worry.  You can do this by following my fantastic idea here.
So keep reading the whole plan given below and implement it with care. Take full care while implementing it. If you reveal it earlier, it won’t work. So keeping it secret is the basic requirement for its success.
Pro bloggers mostly don’t succeed in first attempt
This is the foundation of your idea. Almost 90 per cent of the pro bloggers of every niche do not succeed in their first attempt. They mostly fail in their first try. There are more than several who failed several times and then became successful. So keep this fact in mind while going ahead.
Make a list of pro bloggers of your niche
Now come to the second stage of your strategy. Make a list of pro bloggers of your niche. Trim this list by dropping those who came, who saw and conquered. I mean drop the names of very few of those exceptions who succeeded in their very first attempt. Do remember, exceptions are always there.
Search the mediocre blogs of the pro bloggers in your list
Search their blogs which could not have become popular. Most of the pro bloggers didn’t drop them. They are still managing them because no one wants to forget his first love.
Now you have a list of not-very-successful blogs of those bloggers who didn’t succeed in their first attempt, right? Remember never put in the list their most successful blogs which made them pro bloggers. You can’t aim at them right now. Keep this list close to your chest. Don’t share it with anyone.
Find total mediocre blogs of each pro blogger of your list
Now the third stage of your move. Find out all the weak blogs of each pro blogger of your list. Pick from them the ones related to your niche. Now check their PR rank and number of visitors and other qualities. You can evaluate their worth with Google PR Rank Checker and similarweb.com. After evaluating them, pick the top 5 weak blogs from the list. Visit each of the five and pick the top 2 of them which easily accept guest post.
Write guest posts for the top 2 mediocre blogs
Visit the top 2 selected blogs and check their guest post requirements. Now write the guest posts not with the aim to get them published on target blogs but to impress their owners. They are the pro bloggers who you want to impress and ultimately want to be published on their top blogs. Right?
If the weak blog and top blog of a pro blogger have different niche try to write a post that stands fit for the publication. In extreme case don’t claim a back link and just write a post without any back link from your targeted weak blog. Remember your ultimate aim is to publish your guest post on the top blog of your targeted pro blogger. So here just make a guest posting on his weak or not-so-successful-blog.
Write a guest post pitch
With your guest post write an impressive pitch to convince the pro blogger you are a huge fan of him. You just want to publish your guest post on any of his blog. Fully prove how diligently you follow his all blogs by referring his any important achievement in your guest post or in your pitch.
Promote published post
Once you are published, promote your guest post at all your social media, groups, forums and pages. Make the given pro blogger feel that you worked so hard to promote your guest post. It will show your promotion skills and also your passion for blogging. He will come to know by looking at huge number of likes, +1s and re-shares for your post at his weak blog.
Here simply results will work, so do work hard to get maximum results. Ask your friends and your email subscribers to go to that post and comment on it. Prove the value of your post to convince your subscribers to visit it and drop their comments.
Write a thank you email to pro blogger
After one week of your guest post is published write another email to the given pro blogger. Tell him how wonderful it’s been for you while working with him. Tell him the level of efforts you took to promote your guest post on his lame blog. Once again prove your worth.
Repeat the same exercise with the second lame blog with the same passion.
Now achieve your ultimate objective
Now two pro bloggers know you, your passion and your performance. Here starts the main task. Now send a guest post pitch to both of them to show your interest for guest posting on their popular blogs. You need not to convince them a lot. Your previous performance working with them will convince them to accept your guest post.

Infolinks Review : Kick-Ass Alternative for Google Adsense
Yeah! Many People thought that Adsense is the only way to make money blogging. But, It is one of the biggest lie on blog-o-sphere. Many newbies start blogs to get adsense approval and drive more traffic. But, After some days they will get an email “Adsense Account Disabled”. Then they will lose interest and quit blogging. This is the story of many bloggers, especially Indians.
But, I didn’t tried Adsense on my blogs and didn’t tried to make a single buck from Google Adsense icon smile Infolinks Review : Kick Ass Alternative for Google Adsense
If you ask about me the best ways to make money online, I would like to say Affiliate Marketing, Sponsored Reviews and In-text ads like Infolinks. Let’s know more about in my honest Infolinks Review.

Why Infolinks ?

Why Infolinks ?
Infolinks is the best alternative for Google Adsense and we can say it’s better than Google Adsense. The main things which make Infolinks stands out from Google Adsense are, It is easy to get approval and there is no unwanted strict banning in Infolinks. So, It help people to earn more money easily.
Infolinks Ads are unique and we didn’t require much place for ads like Google Adsense. One of the main reasons for I’m not using Google Adsense is, It requires more space and it is annoying and i can’t accept more direct advertisements. Infolinks is concentrating on avoiding Banner blindness and improve engagement.
I’m using Infolinks in my many micro niche blogs and getting good results from it. Infolinks ads are attractive and easy to get more clicks compared to Adsense. Most of the internet users can determine Adsense ads easily and they won’t click on it. But, Infolinks ads look like site links and many people will click on it. So More Clicks… More Money!

Types of Infolinks Ads

Infolinks have 4 different types of ads. This is another advantage of Infolinks than Google Adsense. Adsense has only 2 types of ads, Banner and Text ads. But, Infolinks’s 4 different ad units allow blogger’s to monetize their blog in an elegant look.

In-Fold ads are another great attraction of Infolinks. Infold will help you to earn more money than other ad types.
Because, Infolinks will track the search keyword if some one enter your site from a search engine. And they will display a popup-ad contains relevent ad about the search keyword with “Searching for [Keyword]” title.
People will surely gonna give a click on such ads. So that, you will see a CTR rate of 4%from Infold alone. Adsense can’t provide their publishers such a CTR rate. By using this Customization Tool, you can view how the In-Fold will appear on your website’s pages.

In-Tag

In-TagIn-tag Advertisement
In-Tag ads are similar to Google Adsense’s Text Link Ads, But, It’s not like that exactly. In Google Adsense visitors want to click on the ads and they will redirect to advert website. But, In Infolinks, When somebody hovers over the link, an advertisement will display and you will get money

Final Words

There are many Google Adsense alternatives on the web, But, Infolinks stands out of them because of the quality and relevancy of Ads. Actually, We can find that Infolinks is better than Google Adsense when we digged more into their comparison.
